VEGANE VIBES – "BE HEALTHY, BE HAPPY, BE VEGAN“

Apple Nachos (gluten free)

Delicious vegan dessert inspired by Anthony William, with delicious apples, nut puree and cinnamon.

Apple nachos are a wonderful alternative if you’re looking for a healthy dessert. I’m in Anthony William fever right now, especially after doing the 3-6-9 liver cleanse, and I always like to get inspiration from him. In the process, I came across the apple nachos and thought they were just great. They are quickly made, incredibly tasty and healthy. Often desserts are quite greasy and packed with sugar. This fine recipe is just the opposite, because the sugar comes purely from the fructose of apples and raisins. Now you could argue whether fructose is good or bad. According to the teachings of Anthony William, fructose is very healthy, but only when eaten in the form of a whole fruit. According to him, apples in particular are one of the healthiest foods around. Then let’s just be convinced, especially by this wonderful recipe.

Apple nachos – the perfect vegan dessert

The apple nachos are quick and easy to assemble. Halve apples, remove core and cut into wedges. Next, arrange the apples in a round circle on a large plate. Then the cinnamon comes on top, followed by date caramel, nut puree and raisins.

I make the date caramel myself according to this recipe. If there’s any left over, you can store it in the fridge and snack on it when you get a chance, or make another treat out of it. Here I think for example of the date caramel slices.

Tip: If you want to prevent the apples from coloring after slicing, you can drizzle a little lemon juice over them.

I really love this dessert over all and can not eat enough. The apples, together with the nut puree and date caramel, are simply unbeatable. By the way, I like to buy my dates in a 5kg box so I always have enough at home.

If you prefer to use pears instead of apples, you can always do that. Pears are just as perfect for this delicious dessert.
