Simple, fruity and delicious crumble with blackberries and apples, topped with a fine crumble of rolled oats and oatmeal. Easy to make, delicious and a very fine dessert best with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Vegan, gluten-free, naturally sweetened.
Preheat oven to 175 °C convection (195 °C top- bottom heat) and provide a medium sized baking dish.
FOR THE BLACKBERRY APPLE MIXTURE Place blackberries, apples, maple syrup, oat flour, bourbon vanilla and rolled oats in a bowl and mix until well combined. Set aside.
600 g Blackberries, 400 g Apples, 45 ml maple syrup, 30 g Oatmeal, ¼ tbspn Bourbon vanilla
FOR THE TOPPING Place raw cane sugar, margarine, oat flour, almond flour and rolled oats in a bowl and mix with hands until a slightly crumbly dough is formed.
70 g Raw cane sugar, 80 g Margarine, 60 g Oatmeal, 40 g Almond flour, 80 g Oatmeal
Pour blackberry-apple mixture into baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the top and place in the oven. Bake for 30 minutes until the top is nice and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and finish with vegan cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, as desired. Enjoy immediately and store leftovers in the refrigerator for 1-2 days.
